International Virtual Innovation Challenge – Apply now

The GXC International Virtual Innovation Challenge is a unique action-learning experience for bachelor students. Public governmental and non-governmental organizations propose innovation challenges that can be solved through digital technologies. Next, a group of 64 students from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and its strategic partner institutions FH Campus Wien (Austria), ZHAW (Switzerland), TAMK (Finland) and Cal Poly (United States) dive in an international virtual action-learning course.

Students are divided into international interdisciplinary teams and follow an innovation process to tackle the proposed challenges and prototype solutions. The course will include video lectures and dynamic weekly live sessions with a professor for content input and a weekly team coaching session with an industry expert to advise on prototyping and mentor students in the challenges of remote international teamwork.

Team up with students from Austria, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and the United States to solve real-life problems proposed by German organizations! Who

Bachelor students (all disciplines) in their 2nd year or higher with advanced English language skills (B2) at one of the Universities of the INUAS-Network (FH Campus Wien, ZHAW, Hochschule München).

When

9-week program starting October 2020.

The best teams compete for a €300 prize on the student idea competition MachWeiter! and the best performing student of each strategic partner university will be awarded a travel stipend to Munich in 2021!

With the project “GlobalXChanges/Challenges (GXC)”, funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), Hochschule München is pursuing the goal of internationalising its innovation and knowledge transfer activities. To this end, cooperation and networks with partners from business, science, politics and society in Germany and abroad are being expanded and joint student innovation projects and practical placements are being made possible. In this project, Hochschule München works closely with its Digital Transformation Lab, the co-creation network M:UniverCity and the INUAS partner universities FH Campus Wien and ZHAW (as well as TAMK in Finland and Cal Poly in the USA).
