Hochschule München and FH Campus Wien: International start-up exchange

18.09.2020

Hochschule München and FH Campus Wien promote the mutual exchange of their entrepreneurship centers, their incubators and their respective regional and international eco-systems.

FH Campus Wien is now part of the entrepreneurship network eBridge Alliance. Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences with the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) initiated the eBridge Alliance as an international collaboration between universities and incubators worldwide to foster societal and technological innovation through entrepreneurship.

The members of the eBridge Alliance want to enable international start-ups, startup internationalisation & innovative B2B co-creation projects. Each year, the network, which includes thirteen universities worldwide, selects several Sustainable Development Goals as basic themes with the aim of promoting responsible entrepreneurship along these themes.

To achieve its goals, the eBridge Alliance has established the SPRINT program, based on a structured process with five concrete phases. First, students and teams with start-up ideas are scouted in topic-based seminars. In the second phase, the selected teams are matched with suited coaches and these are on boarded to enable them to team up with others to form international start-up groups. In the third and fourth phase, the established start-up teams participate in open incubation and co-creation procedures. In these phases, they develop business concepts and plan projects together with professional industry partners. In the fifth and final phase, the start-ups will develop and continue to evolve in these interconnected eco-systems.

The eBridge SPRINT 2020 ends in November 2020 with the co-creation event Wellbeing, where the teams can present their solutions to industry partners.

The cooperation of the universities will continue in the SPRINT 2020/21 with the topics mobility, nutrition, recycling management and life after Corona.

The eBridge project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and the European Social Fund as part of the EXIST program.
