Thursday, September 14, 2017 – Friday, Septmeber 15, 2017

On September 14 and 15, 2017, FH Campus Wien University of Applied Sciences will host the international conference “Urban Transformations and Quality of Life”.

Growing cities are crystallization points of societal and scientific developments in which economic innovations and technological achievements are just as apparent as social polarization and environmental crises. An interdisciplinary approach to global developments and urban trends is vital both in order to shine light upon social conditions and perspectives and to develop political alternatives.

Submitting conference proposals

The Call for Papers is addressed to researchers, graduates, and students in a variety of disciplines and fields whose work touches on urban transformations and who believe that their expertise can contribute to the analysis and sustainable development of working class districts. Selected proposals will be invited to present short talks intended to inspire debate or to take part in the poster session.

Abstracts (including contact information) should be submitted in PDF format to isabel.glogar@edu.fh-campuswien.ac.at by April 15, 2017. Proposals will be chosen by an interdisciplinary jury with representatives from the three FH Campus Wien University of Applied Sciences departments organizing this event. Selected participants will be notified in late May 2017.
